Well, Day 2 was spent primarily in a conference room for the majority of the day. We did break for lunch and dinner and as usual I stopped to take photos at every possible turn.
This morning I woke up at 4 am for the second day in a row. But I was able to go back to sleep for a bit longer, before waking up and joining my friend for an awesome run down the greenway. So awesome in fact, that I ran 2.6 miles with the last mile at a 10 minute pace! I’ve never run that fast before!
The meeting ended a bit early today, so on our way to drop off a package at the local shipping company and to grab lunch, I took a few more photos. On the way back from lunch, I had to take a brief break and stop in at the famous Powell’s bookstore and picked up two more books. I hope they fit in my luggage on the way home!
The best part was returning to my hotel room to discover that Mt. Hood had broken free from the clouds and provided me with such fabulous vistas! I just cannot get over that impressive view from my room.
Right now I feel the beginnings of a head cold. I’ve asked the family to bring cold medicine, and I stocked up on throat lozenges and the hotel was kind enough to give me some hot tea with lemon and honey. I’m not going to let this stop me from enjoying my vacation!
