Our daughter and some of her friends decided to visit Komárno, Slovakia, for the weekend. Unfortunately there were a few setbacks. No one spoke English in the town, and many of the shops closed by noon which meant it was a bit creepy quiet when they went out. Also, when they went out to eat Chinese, she wasn’t able to read the menu, so she ordered something randomly. She ended up with fried chicken and “american potatoes”. In other words, fries. But it was delicious! The highlight of the trip was the pretty sweet AirBnB they snagged for their weekend stay. She has definitely become an expert in selecting a place to stay with the app! Hopefully that experience will pay off when it comes time to find a place to stay for us when we travel out west later this summer!
