What a whirlwind of a day! We left home around 8:30 in the morning and landed about 10-15 minutes earlier than expected. Because we used Magical Express, all we had to do was go straight to the shuttle to the hotel! They checked us in with our Magic Bands and we only had 4-5 people in front of us waiting to board the bus. Again, because we didn’t have any luggage with us, we bypassed everyone else and boarded the bus. There were several people already on board, but most of them were headed to a different resort. We were lucky that the first stop was at Coronado Springs.
When we arrived, we were greeted by our reservationist, the general manager, and an intern! The intern did all the work to make sure we were checked in, while our daughter chatted it up with the reservationist, Sue. She was from the UK so the two of them talked about her trip to London last year. Sue was really excited that our daughter was headed to Austria in the spring. Yea, we make friends everywhere we go!
After leaving our carry on luggage and purses with bell services, we went in search of the bus to Magic Kingdom. Luck was again on our side, as it pulled up a few minutes after we arrived, and we practically had the bus to ourselves! Within a few minutes we were in the land of MAGIC!
We didn’t ride the Mine Train ride due to the long wait (over 75 minutes), but we did enjoy ourselves. We tried to stay until midnight, but slowly found ourselves headed back to the hotel around 10:30. It was a long day. We ended up walking over 19,000 steps!
