World’s Fair

So today I went on a site visit to scope out Knoxville as a possible venue for an upcoming event at work. With a quick road trip 3 hours away, we wanted to make sure it met all of our requirements. We toured the convention center as well as three area hotels. Our guide took us up into the Sunsphere so that we could take a peek at the World’s Fair Park as well as the city. After dinner we walked through Market Square where we saw various restaurants, shops, and checked out the local people and heard a few musicians. One gentleman was singing in Italian and playing a violin and smiled from ear to ear when he caught me hearing him play. I’m a sucker for violin players, what can I say! Knoxville is quite a quaint town, and I wouldn’t mind living here. Looks like they’ve done a lot to become a pedestrian friendly and family friendly town.
