London: Days Four and Five

Our daughter has been super busy these past few days. She is taking classes you know while she’s in London! On Tuesday she spent the day at the University of Oxford (the oldest university in the English-speaking world) where she got to sit in on a lecture with Alister McGrath, author of C.S. Lewis – A Life, which she had to read prior to and during the trip.

Wednesday was another full day. They had a lecture at Regent’s University before visiting such sites as the British Museum where they saw on display the Rosetta Stone. Then they headed to Her Majesty’s Theatre to see Phantom of the Opera. It must have been spectacular!

While walking the streets of Oxford, England, they stopped by a hotel that has been around since the 17th century to take a few pictures. The Bath Place Hotel was built in the 1600’s! It’s located near the Bridge of Sighs (see a picture of it below that she took). It would also appear that the girls went shopping yesterday at Topshop before meeting up with the rest of the group for the opera.

Today they have another full day of lectures, and although tonight was their free night on the town, they’re going to try to get in to the London Eye since they had to delay visiting due to rain.
